Aetherderius
There's a mod I saw, Amulet of Kings - Not Port - wip, and I loved the look of the amulet. It's just what I was looking to use for my big mod coming up.Problem is the author, LastOracleofDawn, hasn't appeared to do anything on Skyrim Nexus since November 2012. What's the "go" there? Is there a rule where the file is no longer someone's intellectual product after a certain amount of time? Or something. Or do I just have to message LOoD and hope they get my message? I'm making a big big mod, and I'm looking for assets/partners to work with, but right now that's not important.
TheVampireDante
All files uploaded must have been created by the uploader or used with permission from the original author of the content. Such permission must be indicated in the Readme text attached to the file and/or on the Description page (or in the Description field for images), and must be obtained in advance, before uploading the file. If you cannot provide proof of consent then your file will be removed and your account is likely to be banned. If they have marked the item as "free use" then there is no issue, as long as credit is given - otherwise, if you can't get permission then you can't use it. Aetherderius
Thanks Dante. I'll send LOoD a message anyway, maybe they'll let me use the assets. If that fails, do you know where I can find a good Amulet of Kings asset? haha
Jokerine
If it all fails, you can make the mod a "soft requirement", so to speak. Keep the file structure the same as the original mod in your own mod, and tell users that they need to download that mod for the meshes and textures, skipping the esp.
