I have gotten a few mods to work, but there are some that I just dont konw what I am doing wrong. Ive tried several different methods, watched several tutorials, but I still cant get it right. For instance, Ive been trying to add a few houses into my game, They only contain 1 .esp file...I extract it into my data file just as I have done with the mods i actually managed to do right, it shows up when i launch my game I check the box but it is not in my game:( please help, i just dont see what I could possibly be doing wrong

Choose a custom (does not come with Windows) folder (i.e., C:\Games.) Guides (the second will probably be completed tomorrow, please use the other guide with it for the time being, if you choose to follow it)New Mod Users Guide - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/#new_users_guide <-- What I thought I'd linked.Complete Guide - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=guides_mod_installation&subpage=complete_installation_guide <-- not quite complete yet
yeldarb
If you are running Windows Vista or 7 as an Operating System then you need to reinstall Oblivion inside a custom folder like C:Games. I personally use Oblivion Mod Manager to install mods into my game because activating and deactivating an OMOD is very simple.Almost every download can be turned into an OMOD, and an OMOD can be edited to allow changes and updates easily. OBMM also has a form of archive invalidation called bsa redirection. Some house mods are dependant on resource packs,Cobl,OBSE, etc... You need all of the resources for a mod to be installed before it will show up in your game. A mod like a Unique Landscape may bury a house mod if it is placed in the cells modified by the UL mod.EDIT 9:19 P.M. CST U.S.The current patch is in the lower left corner of the main loading screen and should be 1.20416
