silentbomb74
So im new to using the geck, so far i really like it. I figured out how to link my personal vault to the outside world and the teleporter works. but i cant get the vault gear door to work. I have a two control panels (controlpanelvault0ff01) out of the activators menu and a generic vault gear door (112) (vgeardoorr112) and i set the control panels to have persistent reference. And when i load the game, i goto use the control panel and the door doesnt move. The control panel doesnt even react to my action. I have a line representing that the door and the control panel are linked im sooo lost anyone lend a hand? there is a picture of the outside. DId i use the wrong gear door or did i use the wrong control panel? or is it just set up wrong?
pkleiss
I'm not sure, but I believe that control panel will work. But the "off" indicates that the lights won't change on it (I think). Usually we use VGearDoorControlPanel for controlling the vault gear doors. In any case you have to link the gear door to the control panel by using the "Activate Parent" tab on the gear door, then adding the control panel here, not in the linked reference tab. If you want the control panel to be the only way to open the door, versus just clicking on the gear door, then you also have to check the "Parent Activate Only" flag on the "Activate Prent" tab. You may also want to add a second control panel on the inside in this case as the player can get trapped inside if the door gets closed and there is no control panel to open it.
