What Oblivion Needs

I know, I know...You've heard it all. But here's some things that would really make the game cool as hell :

- Retextured Daedric Armour in various colors.

- Retextured Daedric Horse Armour in various colors (The mod is here).

- More Models of weapons and armours (Pegasus Set is a good start) in various colors.

- A completely black robe and hood similar to the Nazgul set and other new retextured/remoddled cloaks compatible with the wear hoods/robes with armor mod.

- Open cities (I know they have been started...) compatible with Illumination Within (and several other mods)

- More larger creatures...even if you have to scale a small creature and make it hillariously huge...and more creatures in general.

- More actually cool races.

- More morrowind conversions (Glass set, Orcish, Daedric, Indoril, Bonemold, Artifacts)

- A cloak mod that runs with havok.

I'll update this list when I can think of anything else...lol.

You can retexture the Daedric armor and other armors in different colors quite easily. If you have Photoshop and the DDS plugin for it, all you need to do is load in (example) daedriccuirass.dds (I don't know what the name is exactly) in photoshop, make a new layer, and get your paint bucket and put in any color you want. Then turn down the opacity of the color, and whatever color you chose will be put onto the armor. Mind you though, the color will always be a little bit red because it's not really changing the color, it's just putting another color on top of it. Having it on a separate layer is good also in the fact that you can erase any part of it you want to reveal the armor's original color, so if you want the spikes on the armor to be the regular color you erase the corresponding part of the layer on top of it, if that makes any sense.

And about everything else, I really only know Photoshop, and 3dsmax is nowhere near as user-friendly as Lightwave that I used in Highschool is, so I couldn't help you.

Ahh, cool. Thanks for the advice! But here's one thing. I'm 14. My little mind can't stress all of that pathing and repetition. :)

I like the idea of a cloak or cape or robe for that matter runnig on havok talking relistic no clipping back hanger\\\ is the coolest idea i've heard of for a few days...

Aye,

I'm lazy, so I won't edit my post on this one, but it'd be really cool if the cape did all of the above AND worked with robes. I'm trying to create the perfect Grim Reaper character. So far I have these :

- Black Hand Robes

- the Nazgul Rider Hood

- Dark Dragon Armor

- Black Glass Scythe from tdas Scythe mod modified with 2 speed, 2 range, and 100 attack

At the moment I can't remember anything else...but I do have the witchking helm on a side note.

And, of course, I use the wear robes with armor mod (duh).

There once was a mod called "Death inc." or "Bob inc." where the grim reaper would come to you when you died. Have you checked that one?

Get that levitate spell. It's amazing... Enchant some ring for CONSTANT effect, otherwise you drop dead all the time.

The other thing you can do is make two layers, one a white or black layer, think of it like a primer coat for the color you want. Then on the second layer, above the primer, make it the color you want. This way the original color, i.e. the deep red will be blocked out and you will have a brighter, truer color representation of what you want. The white primer will give you a brighter color when to a more softened color, whereas the black primer will make the color, *gasp*, darker in nature.

I've not yet delved into the realm of "painting" my armors/items/misc, however this is a technique I've used for years on other projects. If I can add some links to places I go when I need answers there are two websites I hit. They cater to Photoshoppers, but like most paint programs they are all very similar.
