Mod Request: Weapon And Armor Crafting

Well today on tessource.net the crafting mod got my attention. And I have got this idea:

Mod that enables the player to craft weapons from different materials, but (here is the new part) can craft them with different design. What I have in mind is:

A dager made from glass with daedric design or ebony armor with dwarven design. The power of the item will depend on the material wich is made of. Or even could depend on two materials like:

silver blade, gold handle with glass weapon design

Is this possible?

I see where you're coming from...this is similar to the Neverwinter Nights weapon construction style. In Oblivion each item would need its own model, you're working with individual models...or single meshes. Simply put, the TESCS is not designed to take that style of weapon construction, or armour design into account...however, as a modeller, constructing seperate meshes then interchanging them would not be that difficult as long as they stuck to similar patterning(Providing you have the skills to make the models and textures)...you'd just need one for each combination.

In reality you'd be best looking at the existing meshes as they are and seeing if there's a way of transferring texture styles from one armour/weapon to another. For example I'd quite like to see Daedric leather, or even Elven fur armour. It's all about thematics :P

Or you could probably just re-texture an exsisting mesh with a texture from another model or make your own. For example you could take a daedric mesh and apply a glass texture. It would probably have to be tweaked around a little bit but it might work.
