coorscollector
I downloaded the version of java that it said to in the read me. I moved the jar file and the shortcut to my fallout 3 data folder. I added in the whole DFallout.plugin.path thing and directed it to my data folder where my mods are. The jar file opens fine but cant find my mods. The shortcut wont open at all and gives me the error message: could not open C:\Program files\Java\jre6\lib\amd64\jvm.cfg. Which is weird because my java is installed in C:\program files (x86)\ and i have no amd64 file in the lib folder. This is much too techy for me so I am asking for some help from some of you smarter people out there. Thanks

coorscollector
I got it working after I saw your post. I just deleted the DFallout.plugin.path thing and suddenly it worked. Although I have another question: when merging mods does it merge all of the leveled lists as well? Also what does the merge lists function do? I read the read me but once again could not make out a word of it. Thanks for the reply.
Quetzlsacatanango
Merging plugins seems to merge everything. I've never used merge lists, but I would guess it does what it sounds like.
coorscollector
I really appreciate your help; it is very kind of you. Just to clear things up: I do not need to use FO3Edit to merge mods that change leveled lists because the merge mods function in FO3 Plugin does that for me? Also, when I select the plugin I will merge with the first one, all I have to do is save as a new name? And in FOMM can I delete the component mods from the list? Sorry for what probably makes me sound like a bit of a dummy, but I am fairly new to modding Fallout 3.
Quetzlsacatanango
1- I *think* that is true. I have never used it that way. I just use it for merging armor mods all into one, stuff like that. Then I still make my merged patch with fo3edit.2- You can either do it that way, where you open the first one then merge others with it (keeping the same name), or you can create a new one and merge all the ones you want together, and give it whatever name you want. 3- Yes you can remove the merged mods from the load order in FOMM, but you will lose the items in your save game, as the formID will change.
