predcon
This topic is about the TESNexus site, and not Oblivion, so move it if necessary. Basically, when I try to download a file, it freezes at or around the 1MB mark. Like the Oblivion Mod Manager file, it freezes the download anywhere between 921KB (lowest recorded) and 1.2MB (highest recorded). By freeze I mean "It literally stops in the middle of downloading, but doesn't give me a 'Time out' or 'File unavailable' type error message", or any other message. I actually have to click the cancel button to, well, cancel it, otherwise it just sits there in it's frozen state. Are non-Premium members only allowed 1MB downloads now? bben46
There is no limit on non premium downloads. You can try using a different web browser, of if given a choice, a different server. Sometimes one server will be giving problems and you can download from another.
Pronam
If it's not that, try disabling any download-managers/speeders involved. They don't work properly for non-premium members.
predcon
I don't use download managers, and Oblivion Mod Manager offers no choice of server. At least, it didn't last time I tried it. I'll try again tomorrow and update this post accordingly with an appropriate edit. [EDIT]Yeah, I disabled the FasterFox plugin, and the download of Oblivion Mod Manager still freezes up. I really want to download it, because I want to grab the "unofficial" patches in their mod form rather than executable form, so I'll have an easier time uninstalling them should they not work out for me. What puzzles me is why, when I checked to see if the unofficial patches offered me choices of server to download from, and they did, does the ObMM only offer a singular server? Is it a "premium" file?

buddah
First thing is just try a different browser, if you can download on another you have an issue with your current browser. Most issues of this type are browser related, and can be a bugger to track down. Buddah

predcon
I tried downloading it through IE instead of FF, and it still freezes on the exact same spot, only this time, IE gives me a "Time Out" error. Has my IP been banned from downloading files? Having a satellite ISP means I share an IP with at least a thousand other people. [edit] Apparently, not, because I gave up trying to download the Mod Manager and just went and downloaded the Unofficial Patches (Oblivion, Shivering Isles, and Official Mods) from the Dallas server, and they downloaded just fine. [more editing]Ok, after a change of ISP and an unrelated hard drive wipe/clean Windows install, the OBMM Full Install 1.6 file downloads fine. So, yeah. A bunch of things changed so there's no telling what fixed it.
