Amoramor
So, I just finished my first mod, to which I used around 10 hours to make. I tried it, and noticed that the map marker for my house doesn't work, so I closed the game and opened the CS to try to solve the problem. This is the first problem, when I was choosing the data files, I noticed that I can add description about my mod, so I did. Or at least tried... this is where things went bad. When I clicked the description box, my computer said 'ding!' and the CS stopped working saying that I don't have rights to change this or something, I didn't read it completely. The CS freezed, and I had to reboot my computer. Second, and worse problem. I opened the CS again, and when I loaded Oblivion.esm and my mod, a window titled 'Confirm' popped up saying this: Trying to load a bad form in TESFile::NextForm. File=[Nameofthemod].espOffset=37621File size=31494901File delta 30.0MBForms loaded=243Forms in file=243 Do you want to truncate the file? Yes/No What do I do? EDIT: I clicked no and nothing seems to have changed... And also, are the two problems connected in any way?
Vagrant0
Trying to load a bad form in TESFile::NextForm. File=[Nameofthemod].espOffset=37621File size=31494901File delta 30.0MBForms loaded=243Forms in file=243 Do you want to truncate the file? Yes/NoSince the forms loaded and the forms in file are the same, in this case, it isn't likely that you will be losing any data and my guess that the error was caused in trying to add a description to the mod. You should still make a backup, but should also go ahead and fix the file. Just make sure to check over things once or twice to make sure you aren't missing anything. Amoramor
Great, thanks. :) And yeah, I made a backup earlier to try if the error message appeared again, but it didn't. I'll try adding a description and see if the message will appear.
