PenguinsMeep
I recently downloaded a mod that adds many new weapons to the Fallout 3. But Ive noticed all the items are invisible and instead of showing the weapon its just a big red exclamation mark. It even replaced my sniper rifle cross hairs with it (While zooming in) Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Teratoid
The installation might be messed up, with the required meshes and/or textures in the wrong folders. You should crosscheck to see if the installed files are where they should be. Which mod is this, incidentally?

Teratoid
If you did a manual installation, try downloading the fomod package and installing that instead. Make sure to delete all the FWE files you installed manually.
EddieBreaks10
Yeah, Teratoid is correct. Although it might not be textures, the big exclamation mark usually means theres a missing mesh. If youve installed it manually, try re-installing it again like this: 1.Unpack the archive using 7zip, Winrar, whatever you have, into a temporary location.2.Read the readme to know more about the mod, perhaps you have an incompatibility issue, or maybe you need another mod installed. This is why reading the readme is important.3.Once youve read the readme, copy the .esp file, "meshes" and "textures" and any other folders it gives you, like maybe "sounds", into your "Data" folder, in your Fallout 3 directory, usually located in (C: Program Files/ Bethesda Softworks/ Fallout 3/ Data). *WARNING, IF YOU HAVE WIN7 OR VISTA, DO NOT INSTALL IT IN PROGRAM FILES. INSTALL IT ANYWHERE ELSE, LIKE "My Games".*4.Start the FO3 launcher and click Data Files, and check the mod you have just installed. 5. If you have succeeded, then it should work properly. Also, make sure you have ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated installed, this is extremely important. I dont think you have to download the file because there is an option in the FOMM that lets you toggle it. Its extremely important you have this turned on. Heres a link to the Fallout Mod Manager:My link You should also download FOSE (Fallout Script Extender). Almost every major mod uses this. Heres the link:My link And make sure you have your game updated to the latest version, 1.7. If you havent, heres the link:My link Thats basically all the info I can provide. I hope it was helpful. -Eddie.
