Campsite does not load anymore

Greetings,

 

I have a problem with the main campsite after finishing Lothering. The first time I in camp, the game work fine. However, when you leave camp, enter another area on the map (Redcliff, Deremin, etc.), then exit that area to go back to the campsite, the game is unable to load the campsite and puts my at the game's main menu. This happens even with no mods loaded, except for the DLC contents such as Wardens Keep, Return to Ostagar, Awakening, Feast Day Gifts and Pranks, and Darkspawn Chronicles, etc. I could use some help here. I been throught 3 walkthroughs already to find out what could be the problem. All I found out was that this problem has nothing to do with the DLC contents or any mod I used prior to this. This has NEVER happen to me before, even with mods I personally know that works extremely well throughtout the game. I'm sure somebody here may have encountered the same problem and found a way to fix it. I could seriously use some help with this one. I'm using Dragon Age Origins v1.3.

most likely its a corrupted savegame. Since it happened after lothering, which actually takes you to a different camp setup than the usual camp, I'd say that your best bet is try to using a prior savegame to the one that you're having problems with.

It'll mean having to redo some stuff, but its better than not being able to play the character :confused:

Thanks DrakeWolf. I'll give it a shot. Knowing how corrupt savegame files work on my computer, I may have to start over again anyway. :tongue:

But it good to know that I have some idea about the problem to work with. Oh and sorry for the late response..... work is getting hectic this week.

Not a problem, its most likely something like that. Tho there is also a mod called Personal Annoyance Remove (PAR) that can cause it too. REALLY sorry for forgetting about that, until now. :(

BTW- there can be a lot of savegame glitches. You get pretty much unlimited saves, so dont be afraid to make a new save when you get into an area, and then make new saves as you progress thru that area ;)
