ripple
The vfx for the fade shield spell in atrocious, and make cut-scenes and dialogue scenes virtually unbearable. Unfortunately, the toolset has not been updated for Awakening, so none of the personal annoyance removers or the mutator has been able to remove the fade shield vfx. My work-around for now is to set up auto-tactics to de-activate arcane shield in exploration mode and activate it in combat mode. Anyone else have a better work around? DarkeWolf
Veteran_Gamer posted on how to open the resources up in the toolset for DAA. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/223468-awakening-resources/page__st__10Now, however.... I myself dont know which file it is that the spells are contained in, so I can't tell you which file you'd have to open to change which effect it uses. :(But, I think it would be a very simple matter to change it to a different effect. Simply change a number or name in the script to something else. But like I said, I dunno which file that is contained in :(
ripple
Um....so, many months later....it seems that neither the Dragon Age Mutator nor DataMatrix's Personal Annoyance Remover has been updated for 1.04 + Awakening. What are current players using now to get rid of some of those gawd-awful spell auras?

I haven't tried this exactly, but I'm sure I remember an option in the mod 'The Winter Forge' to (at least) ADD or CHANGE the effect... so I guess it might be possible to disable it, too...?http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=122 Greets, Frederic Edited January 13, 2011 by freddydak
Elrandhir
Have to agree, the FX of the fade shield is horrible.
