Tzirael
So just downloaded NB and it's really cool but seems like there is a slight problem with textures and I don't know if it's common. 1) Textures don't match up with the face and neck colour ( I assume that it's normal like in oblivion) 2) Female leg textures below their knees are really off Are these normal or is there a solution ? Thanks
DarkeWolf
Heyas MassChuj.Hrm, thats a REALLY odd issue that you've got going there, and no... its actually VERY uncommon. First time I've seen an issue like this, actually. As all the body hues are controlled by the tint that you selected at character creation (tho can be altered by lighting in areas).I'd say that you've either got a bad install, or a bad download (DL). Try uninstalling the override in da modmanager, and then MANUALLY go in and remove all the NBAIO files from documents/bioware/dragonage/addins and documents/bioware/dragonage/packages/core/override (if there are any there). You might also do a search of your dragonage folder in windows for nbaio just to make sure that you got them all. Then reinstall and see if that takes care of the problem. If not, try re-downloading the mod and repeat...perhaps its a bad DL. If that STILL doesnt work, then perhaps that mod has some corrupted files. Try a previous version of it. Its also possible that something went wrong with the installation. I know that for some people their instructions for install are confusing. Here's my tutorial on installing NBAIO. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/articles/article.php?id=38 Oh, and are you using any other mods that attempt to change the nude bodies of characters? Perhaps there is a conflict. Shouldnt try to use any nude bod mods together. Hope that this helps! And good luck! Thandal
Well, I notice the exact same mis-matched hues that the OP describes. Not always, and depends significantly on the specifc lighting for the scene. Frequently encounter "a normal neck and face with an extremely dark clavicle and shoulders". This often when occurs with prison scenes, prisoner can be PC or NPC, either one. And the knees and/or lower legs not always being in-sych with the upper leg is also common. But this last I put down to my selection of things like an NB body with an RL leg. (Yes, I'm using NBAIO.) There's just going to be a bit of a disconnect when different models are put together that way.
Tzirael
Thanks guys. I've uninstalled NB and checked if the textures matched without it installed .... they didn't. So I've uninstalled every other mod I had (deleted from override folder and used dao mod manager) and still the legs below knees were much brighter then the rest of body textures and neck and face textures colour was still not matching. I've checked it under different lightnings and it did blend in better but if you watch close you can tell that they don't match. I'll try to reinstall NB and see if helps. EDIT: Installed NB again and done some testing. Turns out that when configuring nb the body model , leg model and body special texture have to be NB e.g. NB Leg and NB Medium Hair. If either of those are changed to RL or something else the texture leg mismatch appers. The rest of the options can be mixed and matched. Haven't tested the male options yet to see if I can work out the neck and face mismatch.
DarkeWolf
Ah, I see. So they DID have some different hues in the textures. THANKS for the update there, it's been a long time since I updated NBAIO and in my version, you can't mix and match the body parts. You choose one body, and that's that, unless you want smaller hands. Kudos for the information! And for sorting it out
