ell46
I'm having a new PC built and need to back up all my files in readiness, also in case it's relevant I'll be changing from WinXP to Win7. My question is if I copy the folders Data - obmm and Unofficial Oblivion Patch can I use them to over write these folders when I reinstall the game on the new set up? Also are there any other folders anyone would recommend that I haven't thought of to I copy for over writing? I have found where the saved games are and they are copied and safe, I hope! Valkyrie
Yup ya should be able to. I did the same thing. All there really is, is the Oblivion main folder and the Oblivion folder in your Documents that holds the savegames etc..
ell46
The installed game is in the programs folder and the saved games are in a folder in My Documents. I think I read recently while surfing that you should NOT install the game in the program folder, I need to check that out before I reinstall, unless you know if that is good advice or not as I don't remember reading why you should do this.
