Tho I know that a lot of users have some deep issues with the STEAM version and end up just getting the DVD version afterwards.I dont know the exact structures since I havent ever used that version, but I know that the file locations from Steam are in different locales than the normal version, which requires some mods to be manually moved around after installing.I also know that the steam version uses a different gui than the regular version, so that can cause some issues. My recommendation would be to either get the dvd version, or pay for a downloaded version from a site like fileplanet. (You can also get some pretty good deals on unused dvd versions of DA on ebay).
