TheSnowWolf Posted August 3, 2010 Author Posted August 3, 2010 I tried using a different drive. The error continues to happen. FML.
roquefort Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Tried installing from your laptop drive over the network? Of course you'd still need the disk in the desktop drive to launch the game, but at least you might be able to get the game installed, and you know that your laptop drive will read the disk. If it still doesn't work then at least you'll know for sure that it isn't a disk-reading error.

TheSnowWolf Posted August 4, 2010 Author Posted August 4, 2010 Anybody else? I still haven't solved the damn problem.
TheSnowWolf Posted August 7, 2010 Author Posted August 7, 2010 Lol guys sorry for the triple post... and for the bump, but... Man, I really need some help here. Any other ideas, guys? Anything. Even ridiculous, highly unlikely things. I'll pretty much try anything other than delete "system32" LOL.
bben46 Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 The copy protection on the Oblivion DVD does not like no cd programs and usually stops the install part way through even if the no cd program is a legal one. Try either removing the no cd program, or renaming it during the install. After the game is installed I think you can put it back.
