Character Ability/active Effects Question

I always hated how my character looked so I got Rens Beauty Pack and Mystic Dark/High Elf. I changed my charactes look/race, but then relized that my skills (strength, agility, etc) were reset as if my character was level one. No biggy, I just wrote down my skills and used the console command to edit them back as if they where never reset. Now... can I do this for my Active Effects, is there a console command where I can do that? Beacuse I had many useful abilities such as Night Mothers Blessing, Gray Prince Training, Vampirism and some other permanent bonuses, but since I edited my characters race all those abilities were reset, gone.

 

I suppose this would be the get and give situation, :closedeyes: I got a much better looking character but gave up my abilities... :dry: But still...

There is a way to change your char's look without resetting abilities, effects and that sorta stuff. Just don't close the console while editing him/her. An when you have finished, don't just press "Done" button, but make a savegame while in race menu. Then load it and have fun ;)

This seems to work as long as you don't change your characters race. (I did :ohmy: ) If you do change your characters race, the skills and major skills are left untouched... but your active effects, abilities completely disappear instead of reseting, so I'm back where I was. Still thanks though! :D

You sound just like me, I did the same thing and posted in the Planet Elder Scrolls forums but got the same response of "dont click done" which I didnt in the first place but the people there couldnt wrap their head around the idea that changing race wipes out your "effects" bonuses. Anyway I used the Rens mod too and just continued to play and now am too far into it to turn back. What script did you find? I need Night Mothers Blessing and Gray Princes Training. If you can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Alright, here is the simplest way. Open your console (hit the "~" key)

 

For Night Mother's Blessing type in:

player.addspell 0000CBD13

 

For Gray Prince's Training type in:

player.addspell 0000CBF19

 

Thats it! Hope this helps. :D

Hey thanks alot that is all I needed. I refuse to start over, I dont have enough time to play as it is and starting over is unthinkable at this point.
