Dead Rising was awesome for the sheer weapon variety (and the "Chop till you Drop" in the ads were hilarious)

 

But the best Survival horror game ever?

Fatal Frame (the second in particular -Crimson Butterfly). They (Tecmo) should have packed a complimetary pair of rubber underwear with each copy)

 

It's only game I've ever fainted while playing (all tensed up, something fell over in the next room with a loud crash and my happy arse fainted dead away - thump, I done left the building). :ohmy:
