ENB is making my game crash on start, cannot find solution

I have just recently installed ENB for Fallout 3, and now my game crashes and reads the line "a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program." I have tried both the injector and wrapper version of the ENB's, and i have unistalled and installed them pristinely. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my game, deleted .ini files and ran the launcher, but it seems the problem all narrows down to the file "d3d9.dll' When I move this file out of the fallout folder, the game runs again, but I know it is essential to the ENB itself, and really need some of ENBoost's modifications to make my game run smoothly. I check my event viewer (if this helps) and found the error as an application error, which reads...

How do I fix this? There are no answers I can find!

this represents the browsers ( d3d9.dll ) which by chance hasa great deal more capability than the ENB series data has.

open the explorer and brows to system32 directory ,search for the same dll file, copy that to the game directory and overwrite.

Now if any one thinks the Dll binary file made for ENB is better ? then go ahead, back up your binary system32 file on a disc off line and make sure you can boot from that disc because if you drop that ENB into the system32 directory and expect the OS to run, Good luck. The above shot shows you what the system uses, the ENB dos not contain this information. "will not do that".

Thanks you so much! I have been trying for months, and when I saw your answer, I didn't consider (very sorry, but I saw the tilted sceen and just said "I bet this is a troll") this, but now my game runs! Thank you so much Purr4me

Believe me, I know......and girls seem to not get much notice .

But your PC has no x or y chromosomes so it would not care. The desktop, and the internet IE / explore DO care, they care because the DWM.ese is called up and subdued by the games Engine at run time. the Event manager when the game Crashes out for no reason clearly states the Operating system shut down the games engine because it could not access the (dwm.exe). If you look in your own even manager and look at the applications logs, just prior to an error, red item, for this game, you look for "dwm.exe" and it flat tells you why the game crashed.

If you saw me? I would need a battalion to fight you off with.

......I look for problem posted.....I use the site tools as it was meant to be used so I watch the posts I have interests in.

version "updates" by all software venders have compatibility problems.

 

I look for those, the bugs, I study and try to find solutions.

If I was able to show even a little bit, it's enough. whats hard ? is to convince you about these things.

pictures Can't lie. the shot IS fire fox element inspector. It uses the same over lay that the game uses.

can't help it, as long as the game is working, ? we accomplished the task, and we move on to other more challenging things.

 

I try not to pay too much mind to things said...we don't know each other, all there is are words on a screen.

so keep it simple and on topic and concentrate on the bug at hand, in a riffle scope, you see the target ,you don't see whats behind the target so if your intentions are to only hit that target, and not what's behind it? you need to reduce the ammo load or become a rolling slaughterhouse !

For people that still have this problem, it might be a memory allocation issue. I had this problem with Fallout 3 on Windows 10 and used CFF Explorer to enable it to use more than 2GB Ram. This helped me to play Fallout3 with ENB where it first crashed when I tried to launch it.

My problem is that after installing mods: EVE, FWE, MMM, WMK, project beauty and other required stuff and made My Meged Patch (and everything was done as it was in descriptions) after starting game i have no coursor and options in main menu. And i can only open task manager and then appears window that program stopped working. :sad: i am very sad and dont want to reinstall couse it takes 4h and 20 Gb xD
