Cannot turn character

Ok, so I was doing the first Dark Brotherhood mission and the way I killed Rufio killed Oblivion (Well, crippled it mortally)

Basically, I used Midas Magic's "Power word: Stun" and as he fell I used the ground stab from Deadly Reflex.

But, because the game was still in the fixed camera position when the Quest alert popped up it will NOT let me turn. I can use the mouse buttons, walk and use every other button on the keyboard.... But it simply won't let me turn. THe game is registering me moving the mouse, as I can still use the mouse in menus, move the camera in vanity mode and if I go into 3rd person the character's head turns.

I tried reloading my save, my other saves, starting a new game, the code "enableplayercontrols" and finally a full, clean install. All of these things failed to give me back mouse control.

 

If ANYONE has any idea how to fix this or even what caused it, please tell me as i'm really enjoying Oblivion.

That's odd the reinstall didn't work, when you reinstalled it did you go into your program files and delete your Oblivion folder?

Yes I did and I'm afraid that it didn't work....

I'm not sure what else to try. :wallbash:
