Atemisc
I was reading over a guide on how to install mods. At one point, it tells me to place the files in the game's data folder. Only problem is, I can't open any Data folder. I guess it's because I'm on Vista. I dunno'. But it doesn't put everything in the C drive. Only data folders for Fallout 3 that I can find are from the disc itself. So what should I do? http://i994.photobucket.com/albums/af66/Atemisc/data.jpg D Drive won't let me do anything with the files, and those are the only data file folders I can find. The only other place on my computer that has any Fallout 3 stuff only has a Save folder. What should I do to go about installing mods?
bben46
Your data folder is located inside the fallout folder. It doesn't matter what operating system you have or what disk you install to it will be in the same place. If it's not there, either you didn't install properly, or you have a borked pirate version. Actually, It is recommended to NOT install fallout in the default location on Vista as that causes interference from the UAC. Install it anywhere except in the program files folders. I have been recomending C:\Games\Fallout3. However if you have a D: drive - by all means install it there if that's where you want it.
Atemisc
So in other words, I need to reinstall it to a different place on my PC and it should give me the folders?Because if I paste the usual C drive location, it only goes to C drive itself and doesn't have anything for Fallout 3 on it.I only did the install option that does everything on it's own.
