What are Your "Must-Have" Mods for new vegas?

im starting a new playthrough and want to change my mods in a good way

so my question is what do you use in your game

im not asking about beauty stuff like "vurts flora" or any bodyreplacement

only mods for gameplay crafting, gears, quests just about what makes the game better bigger and more awesome

So glad you consider stashaway a must-have. :blush: It's a neat little thing, really.

 

My essentials are mostly visual/HUD related:

• Project Nevada
• DarNified
• oHUD
• EVE
• Enhanced Blood Textures
• Pip-Boy 2500
• Realistic Wasteland Lighting

In addition to these I'm running a few custom plugins for gameplay adjustments that I can't live without.

I never play without the Realistic reloading mod. It greatly improves immersion and forces you to make use of every bullet in the clip.

Another fun mod is the Signature weapon mod, wich lets you pick a weapon of any kind, be it a Hunting rifle or a Rolling pin, and level it up.

A rifle mod I always use is the Remington 700. It is hands down the best sounding rifle!

Interior Lighting Overhaul...i can't get used to vanilla lighting any more :/

by the same vein, Electrocity, Flora overhaul and Fellout. same thing as before but for the outside.

 

i wouldn't have any house other than underwater home. just move the entrance to somewhere reasonable. i usually change it 3 times. 1: goodsprings, 2:novac 3: freeside

 

darnified ui/panels ....need i say more? >_<

 

project nevada. you either love it or hate it...

 

and for a permanent companion that doesn't feel like a burden, Willow.

 

and that's it. honorable mention to poco bueno, roberts, beware of girl and character overhaul, but they're not as vital to the overall experience.

people above suggest armor&weapon mods, visual mods, quests all of which I don't consider essential..

 

what i'm lookng for:

- Are there any mods, that are purely fixes? Like for skyrim there're Unofficial skyrim patch, also there's a mod that fixes mouse hitboxes (since the game was made for consoles/controllers).

 

- Are there really essencial UI mods like SkyUI and MCM?

 

- Is there a good/not buggy gameplay overhaul like perkus maximus(skyre).
