More problems with new install and mods

WOOHOO!!! it's all working great.

That was so easy, playing safe, I copied the whole BW file from my external hdd let it overwrite the new one and Bob's yer uncle no need to download dlc from anywhere. I've just run an old camp save and was disappointed to see that Alistair and my PC have black eyes, I wonder if the resolution is too high??? I thought the graphics were great but seemed a bit too detailed I'll have to look into that.

Now I've got to update some of the mods, I've been collecting while all this has been going on and a few new ones I've not been able to use yet. I must say I'm not fond of updating mods, but they are worth it when it all goes OK.

There is one thing and I'm not sure if it's me or not at the moment, but I thought the voices were lagging a bit behind the mouth movements.

Aw, I didn't take it as a complaint don't worry, I make up my own acronyms as I go along most of the time. I've always called the hdd the HD because I don't do high definition yet  If you want to be kept on your toes, you should try having a conversation with me about computers  H is used to it and usually knows what I'm talking about. It's all his fault when he sets up new PCs I've always asked him to teach me what he's doing, so far all I've learnt is how to get into BIOS and then he just goes quiet and forgets I'm sitting here waiting to learn. I just get up and walk quietly away leaving him to it.

Unfortunately the old hdd is now part of a raid array, being used for back up and the external hdd that had the copies is now minus the address book and a load of empty email folders.

UGH I am not happy to read that about the black eyes issue again. :( You'd mentioned earlier that it was gone, and I was really happy. Is it just that save, or are all of them doing it now?

Hahaha yeah, when all goes ok ;)

Yeah, thats a problem for those of us that do things like this on a regular basis. We tend to forget to slow down and explain what we're doing, because we just go into "autopilot" on some of it.

Awwwww! Dangit, that stinks. I was hoping you'd be able to get your OLE files back! Did you have your email set up to leave copies of the mails remaining on the servers? If so, perhaps you can track down some of those email addresses from old mails still located on your email host?

Did you patch the game? I've read a couple of users on here complain about that voice lag after patching 1.04

I think I'm on to something, it's 2 am and I'm dog tired but I had to get up to see if I was right.

Re the missing address book, I remembered seeing on my external hdd 'Windows Live' I must have done a quick back up before surrendering my PC a second time. I've copied the folder over and it contains the the original emails from OE imported into WLM, I've tried doing a straight Import of both OE and WLM messages but it won't import them, the error message says there aren't any messages to import, they are .eml files and I can actually double click the messages and they open I should be able to rescue a lot of lost addresses from these, thought I would share the good news, heaven knows it's the only good news I've had in the last 4 weeks apart from the new PC.
