Is it bad to pirate something that I already own?

So a couple years back, I decided to buy the Oblivion GOTY Deluxe edition on Xbox360. Back then, I did not have the kickass laptop that I do now. I played it for quite a while and eventualy got bored because I had played through the different story lines. I experienced the same thing in skyrim, though I chose to buy skyrim on PC after I had already bought it on Xbox because i just got a new PC and Skyrim with mods sounded like fun. After about 4 or five monthes of playing with mods, I had managed to squeeze about 300 hours out of skyrim just by adding mods. Now, Im a bit short on money recently as ive been fired from my first job, and I feel like rekindling Oblivion in the way I had done with Skyrim. However, I dont have, nor do I feel like spending another 26 dollars for a game i already own. Would it be bad to get a cracked copy of oblivion when I already own it? Now I'm not saying I endorse piracy or anything, in fact, I do not like piracy because ive had problems with it in the past. What I'm asking is if it would be wrong of me to simply get a cracked copy of a game that I already own from one of my friends that has it?

I feel like its a bit asinine to not be able to get some form of key or something that lets me use what I already own without having to buy it multiple times. I know that some companies are actually kind enough to allow you to have the game cross-platform, so long as you've bought it on one of them, though I cant remember any specific games off the top of my head. It feels as if I'm eating an Ice cream cone, then when I finish the ice cream and am about to eat the delicious wafflecone, the vendor takes it back and tells me I have to buy another one if I want to eat the cone as well.
