ussrspace
In the Middle Ages, it was customary to take off your helm when you were a guest to someone's castle or home or inn. This way you showed that you trust them and you acknowledge their supremacy (i don't remember where I read it :D ). It's also why men in the modern period remove their hats when entering a building. So, why not have a simple mod that unequips the player's headgear when they enter a shop, pub, palace, house, Jorrvaskr, etc.? It would be great for immersion, it will show the Dragonborn's face more often, and I suppose it wont be hard to make. I'd do it myself, if I could code :)
elricshan
Well, what if your charachter does not want to show respect? would it not just be easier (I myself does this) to favorite the helmet/hood/headgear your charachter uses to a quick slot, (i use mine at 8 as that is so far away from WASD that it have no value in combat. One click removes the helmet fast and a second one pit it back on. That way you can controll your charachter.
