Fallout crashes when I save

I have been experiencing crashes when I try to save my game. Sometimes it saves but often it crashes. I have tried deactivating some of my mods but it still crashes. I have the Ipip player and turned the radio of before I saved it it worked for some time but then it started crashing again.

My old comp crashed when I'd try to quicksave whilst in combat.

I watched the performance monitor on my keyboard and noticed that CPU usage was off the charts (before the quicksave)

My CPU (dual core) killed my quicksaves during combat, could you post your hardware specs?

 

 

You can also try going to an interior, open the console and type PCB followed by a save attempt.

PCB cleans up your Memory.

The thing is that I have windows 7, I7 Q720 CPU, GeForce GTX 260M, 4 GB DDR 3 ram. It works great and I could save yesterday but suddenly it started crashing when i saved. But I can try the PCB command and see if it helps.

I used to have this problem a while back. I was able to save if I blew myself up and died (because it resets/clears the cells). The problem went away for me after I patched Fallout to the most recent patch (I think it's 1.7..?)

 

So if you're not up-to-date, that would be a good place to start. :)

I just reinstalled it and updated it yesterday to get rid of problems. It happened after I put inn a few mods.
