Perhaps he did have a one handed weapon but it was forgotten who's to say? also I found this mod just looking for his armor in a few seconds. Stylistically it's similar to the Nordic Carved Armour from Dragonborn... Frankly, i'd expect it to be more that colour, i don't understand why people like these dingy or dark armours. Take some pride in your appearance dammit!
