Flemming
So, I decided to start a new game in Oblivion, only this time with OOO in play. I have a concern though. I'm fond of melee based, smash and bash characters. Given the way OOO sounds though, it seems like that type of character won't do much but die in OOO. Will I still be able to level and kill things other than rats, or do I need to make a super balanced character?

So I took advantage of CraftyBits and made a bow and fletched some arrows. I preyed on small animals and passive wildlife, running them down and putting arrows through their heads. Not story time, my bad. With OOO you'll be fine as long as you don't go fighting trolls.
yeahchris
Melee with OOO is very possible. Trick is to pick your battles and run away should you encounter anything too powerful. It can be kinda hard if you choose to go the heavy armor route, however, as that limits your ability to run away from a lot of things.

Hmmm ... so, basically, don't wade into everything head first as I am wont to do ... I suppose I can do that. Well, off to install and make sure it plays nice with the other mods I have. yeahchris
Also, go with a faster leveling option than the one they suggest. It's too slow for a fighter, as you get less practice, as you can't rightly swordfight when you're on the run.
