help_needed
Some mods require the archiveinvalidater invalidated thing, and a lot of people say its good, but im nervous because FO3 is installed to the program files directory on my vista machine, and the program warns that using it on a vista machine when FO3 is installed to the program files "makes the program behave strangely" (whatever THAT means) i want tot use it becuase it sounds good (not that i really know why its so great to not need the archiveinvalidater file), but i dont know if i should. Any suggestions?thanks EDIT: whoops its called ArchiveInvalidation Invalidater. It can be found at http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944 and was produced by Quarn and uploaded by QuazzyEDIT again: I just found out that FOMM has a "toggle invalidation" button. Will it cause problems and/or work as well as ArchiveInvalidation?thanks again Edited August 10, 2010 by help_needed
pkleiss
FOMM's invalidater and Archive Invalidation Invalidated both do the same thing. The difference being that if you use Archive invalidation Invalidated, you only have to install it once and forget about it. When using FOMM's Invalidater, you must click the Invalidater button every time you install new textures to your game. In both cases what they do is allow new textures to be used by the game. Without using some form of invalidation, new textures you install will not be used by the game and instead with show up as flickering textures of nearby objects.
