Thandal
I just saw this posted to the Image Share under "David Dwarf Doppelganger", and thought, "I'll bet David Gaider's isn't the only face immortalized as an NPC." So now we have a Dragon Age variation on a RL "geotagging/enhanced reality" treasure hunt! http://www.dragonagenexus.com/imageshare/images/1883572-1281413223.jpg 1) Find photos of any additional members of the BioWare dev team, as listed in any in-game credits, (not "uncredited" citations from unofficial sites) then scour the game to locate their doppelgangers. Vanilla game(s) only. (No fair making your own morphs!) 2) Entries must include: a. Images of both RL person and the in-game match (see the one for David Gaider, above.) b. The name and credited role/position of the dev team member c. The in-game location (and name, if provided) of the character who matches 3) Winner is the person who posts the most matches by the end of the contest. Only the first posting of a correct match for any one dev counts, based on the Nexus server's date/time stamp of the upload to the Image Share section. 4) In case of ties or disputes as to accuracy of matches, the decision of the Dark0ne or his designated representative is final. (You need not own a copy of DA to enter. Not valid where prohibited by law.) Anyone up for a Hunt? [OK, got all the way through to posting this, then realized that the original image may have been a custom morph to begin with. Since no NPC info was attached, can anyone confirm/deny that this is the case? But Hey! If it IS a custom morph, then delete the last caveat of Rule 1, and the contest becomes "Build the Best Doppleganger." You still need 2a and 2b, 3 becomes just "best", not "first" match, and 4 becomes a Community Vote!] Edited August 10, 2010 by Thandal
danscott84
It's a custom alright, it uses WolfheartHU's beard mod.
Thandal
It's a custom alright, it uses WolfheartHU's beard mod.Drat! I suspected that might be the case when there wasn't any "Here's where I saw this NPC" info. I also realized that a "Best Doppelganger" contest doesn't need to be restricted to BioWare devs. Could just be any category of RL personages. Fun, maybe, but not an Easter Egg Hunt. [ ;D I think that's the first time I've given an idea in my own post a "thumbsdown". ]
brokenergy
You do know that Gaider is in game, at Lothering I think
danscott84
Well, here is one for those who have played ME1. I don't have the space to post screens, but the doomsayer in Lothering looks an aweful lot like the man down in the catacombs in the ruins where you find the large living plant controlling the colonists. (sorry, don't remember the name of the creature or planet) The man I am referring to is the one that you can tell the leader of the colony that he is acting strange. I think the colony name is Feros. Thandal
You do know that Gaider is in game, at Lothering I thinkNo, I didn't know. But I had thought it might have happened. So when I saw the Image Share post, I jumped to the conclusion that someone had found a great example! Do you know where in Lothering he's hanging out? A Chasind Warrior, perhaps? brokenergy
I think he is the one surrounded by kids and all the kids are asking him questions.
