loka4222
So the ESP. for other mods work just fine for fallout 3...but the NiF files etc. don't....I ran the Activation thing or w/e and have FOMM downloaded as I was told too. I take the folders Data/Textures from the installed mod folder and drag them into my DATA folder (I'm not promoted to overwrite) , for instance, the MESHES folder in my DATA folder is called Fallout - Meshes.BSA...when I double click these files an archive pops up with all the files in the bsa file but I can't edit it to add my own...Any help on howto install this mod properly? reisack
hehe kinda funny the instructions of that mod...well here's my response. Look pal... i installed a lot of mod since the game release... and i can tell u this: - U most have FOMM, FOSE and archiveinvalidation tool.- Just extract directly to your data folder , say yes to everything. In your case u must do, because u are replacing or adding textures and meshes. Unless u have other mods, if that is the case u must set an extract order to make it work. I don't really understand why u have this installation problem. If one of ur concerns is lose some important archives of the game, just make a backup of the folders that u are going to replace, that's all. Hope it helps...
Maigrets
It sounds like the body replacer is the only mod you are currently trying to use otherwise you would already have meshes and textures folders unless other mods are an esp only. As it says in the Readme move the meshes and textures folders from Dimon's to your data folder. Make sure you've downloaded all the relevant files ie..the meshes and textures are in separate files and you can customize which type of body you want by installing the meshes for that type. For example if you want the Base HD Body install only those meshes. The textures work for all varieties. If you search TYPE 3 in the Categories section of Fallout 3 Nexus you will also find replacers for the vanilla clothing and armour which are very good. The files are not added to the Fallout - Meshes.BSA. That is the archive that contains all the meshes required by the game when you install the actual game. If you don't have a meshes and or textures folder you need to create them, but since you are installing a mod that already has them all you need do is add those folders to your data folder. Next time you add another mod with those folders you will be asked to overwrite. Do so. Nothing will be removed or changed, but the new files will be added.
