Riverter Rose
Eh, hello, n00b on this forum for sure, and ive looked for this topic, so ill post it myself since i can't find it. long story short, im on dial-up (yes laugh all u want... ill laugh with u) livin in the boon-docks with no hope of DSL/cable anyway when i try to download a file, lets say its about 10 MB, i usually break for coffee and when i come back its almost done, being 10 megs an all... but there is a new problem... when i DL a file, it says its complete after about 20 seconds... im on dial-up. so i know 10 megs wont DL in 20 seconds... so of course i try to extract the file only to get an error message saying "unexpected end of file" or something to that degree... it even happens on small, lets say 2MB downloads..... any solutions? or related problems? (BTW im 17, lol, coffee isn't that geat yet).... other than that, great site.....though i can't seem to find the earlier downloads (for instance, the june 18th kvatch no attack, dunno how to find it :( oh well) anyway, any help would be appriceated

The best solution for this is to simply attempt to D/L the file again. Keep both the browser and the place where you are downloading the file to open, so that you can check for errors immediately and if it's messed up, then you can start again with little ado.
