cryocry
play in widescreen letterbox format on a normal monitor??? I'd just play in full screen if you have a widescreen moniter (have game window take up whole screen, select widescreen?).

Russki Bear
I don't know if it will letterbox if you set it to a widescreen resolution unless your monitor supports it.
Guest
The best you can do is to switch to windowed mode and select the widescreen resolution (1280 x 768, I think). If you want something close to fullscreen, there's two other things you can do in addition: 1. Lower your Windows resolution to close to the windowed widescreen resolution. For example, if you normally use Windows at 1600 x 1200, lower your resolution to 1280 x 1024 when you play Oblivion. OR 2. Open Oblivion.ini (in My Documents\My Games\Oblivion) and find the pair of lines that looks like this: iSize W=640iSize H=480 Set this to a higher resolution close to your Windows resolution so that Oblivion fills most of the screen. Make sure you keep the widescreen aspect ratio of 16:10. So, for example, if you normally use Windows at 1600 x 1200, set your Oblivion resolution to 1592 x 995 (almost 1600 x 1000, subtract 8 pixels of width and 5 pixels of height to account for the window borders while keeping the 16:10 aspect ratio). If I were going to do this, I would do both. I would switch Oblivion to windowed mode, lower my Windows resolution to 800 x 600, and then in the Oblivion.ini file, change my Oblivion resolution to 792 x 495 (close to 800 x 500) by setting the following in Oblivion.ini: iSize W=792iSize H=495 Those are my suggestions. I hope this helps!
