Simpler Bleeding?

How hard would it be to script in that when your health reaches certain stages, you get gradiently increasing amounts of blood loss, with appropriate visuals?

There's Gray's Everybody Bleeds, but what about a simpler thing?

90% you're good

75% you're losing .5% of your HP every second. Lasts thirty seconds.

50% you're bleeding or hemorrhaging pretty badly. 1% for thirty seconds.

19% you're spraying youjuice everywhere.

Etc.

Then apply it to all organic life forms.

It depends on your take of HP: do they represent structural integrity or are they a will to live? An élan, perhaps.

Whatever RPG philosophy you follow, would this be possible?
