Broadsword5302000
Question I have. I have played both OOO alone and FCOM in the past and found that I preferred just OOO because Frans kinda goes against some of the main gameplay changes of OOO. Let me give you an example. Both Frans and OOO have more static enemies, which means after a long time ingame I will one shot kill an average goblin. In OOO if I came by high level tribal goblins it was because I went to the location where they were, duh. Frans on the other hand adds high level enemies as you go. So if I head to a low level goblin cave in OOO I will oneshot every goblin inside. The reward will not be good because the risk was small. With Frans however you would go into a low level goblin area and there would be ♥♥♥♥load of goblins of all different types, some weaker then you and some just as strong as you, though the reward is still small. So while, yes the creatures are static, the environments are always scaling and it ends up feeling almost as artificial as vanilla oblivion. Anyways I THINK that is causes by Frans. For all I know it could actually be caused by MMM and that would answer my question. This is how I understand it:In Vanilla the same enemies become more powerful as you become more powerfulIn Frans the enemies stay the same but stronger ones will appear. This is the middle groundIn OOO all the enemies stay the same but there are strong enemies from the start Optimally MMM would spawn stronger monsters as you get stronger if used with Frans and spawn them all from the start in the appropriate locations if used with OOO. OOO has a great risk reward system and really makes me feel like I'm making progress. I was wondering if MMM interferes at all with these key concepts of OOO. Does MMM spawn enemies the same no matter what level I am or does it spawn stronger enemies as I get stronger? PS: If I sound a little scatter brained right now its because I have spent the last few hours installing mods. We've all been there.
Yamcakes
MMM tries to spawn NEARLY the same monsters at any levels, so at low levels you can experience a challenge. As time wears on though, it gets a little old. I suggest you try Waalx Animals and Creatures. http://waalx.com/RealSwordsForum/index.php (You'll have to register to see the download thread.) Not only is it a fantasic alternative to MMM, but it also brings much more wildlife, like mice and rabbits, to sharks and crocodiles! New monsters as well, like genies.
