Konnor13 Posted August 13, 2010 Share Posted August 13, 2010 Hi,i've been trying to install some mods:Alexscorpion's sniper gearToxa's Armory i install by extracting the archives to the fallout 3 data directoryi have ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated! active but when i go the fallout 3 launcher to tick the box next to them in the data section,the mod isn't there,i can't figure out why and i've even tried installing the different types of files to the different folders,with no success. Somtimes even if you put the textures and meshes in the C:/programfiles/bethesda softworks/ fallout 3/ data files, you might still need to use fomm to activate them Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Konnor13 Posted August 15, 2010 Author Share Posted August 15, 2010 thanks for the advice,but atm,when i load up fomm and try to use the package manager,i log into the nexus website and then it crashes saying"something bad happened,as long as it wasn't too bad,an error report will have been saved in crashdump(or something along the lines of that). SkullKnight Posted August 16, 2010 Share Posted August 16, 2010 Extracting a whole archive into data is generally a bad idea, as some mods may have several layers of folders inside the archive. Extract all of the needed plugin files (esp, esm) and resource folders (meshes, textures, sounds) into "Data". If the archive contains a fomod folder, then FOMM should be used to install it. The only files that will show up in the launcher are the plugin files (esp, esm) located directly under the "Data" folder. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
