ll Guts ll
I was looking through animations on this site, and I was wondering why exactly we haven't created a system that allows for interchanging custom animations, similar to the fighting style change in Unnecessary Violence. I was also wondering if it would be possible to give each race a different model set via skeleton (maybe like vampire the maquerades) set up. I'm speculating because I'm terribly inexperienced and ignorant toward the modding community. I am basically throwing an idea out there that I cannot figure out. Any comments would be helpful.... TheLastIstari
Well, the reason this has not been done is rather simple. Each race, sans Argonian and Khajiit, use one skeleton, both genders. Animations are generally considered to be the hardest thing ever in the history of forever when it comes to modding. Not to mention making an entirely new skeleton is actually extremely difficult. Not to mention a mod like this would conflict with literally thousands of other mods. The problem is that with all that, it's just not worth all the frustration of getting something that complex to work. It could probably be done, but it's just way too much of a hassle. Sorry, mate.
ll Guts ll
would it be possible then to custom alter the original skeleton for each race, as opposed to creating a new one from scratch? This would cut down on complications on conflicts, maybe?
Deleted1848331User
If you change a skeleton for any race, you'll have conflicts.
