Engine limits? (Similar to F:NV)

I've modded Skyrim up to the max, but I'd like to see how many mods are available for Oblivion. Even if there aren't many, I'm still willing to get the game; my only question is, does the game run on the same gamebryo engine that Fallout: New Vegas did?

I added mods to F:NV, but the engine fell on itself after a single texture pack, sometimes failing to load scenes or assets when transitioning to new areas. Adding on more texture mods and more gameplay mods didn't help, which completely ruined F:NV modding for me.

I'm not referring to memory limits, either. Skyrim had a memory limit which was somewhat bypassed by Sheson's memory patch. If something similar is available for this game, that's fine, but I want to make sure the engine isn't the same as the engine used for F:NV before getting Oblivion. The last thing I need is for another great game to be ruined by hefty modding limits and glitches with memory loads.

I should note that I've already played Oblivion quite a bit, but not on PC. Buying the game just for the vanilla gameplay could be a nice refresh of what Oblivion used to feel like, but I'm much more interested in what kinds of overhauls and large-scale mods might be available.

Any insight would be appreciated.

we have Oblivion Stutter Remover which allows us to replace the heap (the thing Sheson's Memory Patch fixed) or/and you can use the "more heap" mod

and we also have enboost

anyways about the limitations.

Oblivion do's not have the same issue as fallout where there are things not loading, however oblivion's engine has a few problems the one of them being that oblivion only uses 1 core. you can not (no not even if you edit the oblivion.ini) let oblivion use more then 1 core.

and oblivion runs on the gamebryo engine. yes i know this contradicts what i said above, (Well amusing what you said about fallout not loading assets is true.)

-edit-

its a bit late now so imma head off. but ill edit this post 2morrow with more info
