Amyr
PC specs? Are you using ENB? Mess with the INI settings? Honestly I don't think there is a problem. Exteriors are much more demanding on your system compared to interiors. It doesn't even qualify as a problem.
Epickeenan
Why did you say I don't think there is a problem, it doesn't even qualify as a problem. It's redundant don't be an ass for no reason. If I think that it's strange that my interiors do a significant jump to 60+ while my exteriors are doing 30-32 then I believe there is a problem. I'm just asking for an explanation If you can help somebody understand what's going on in their game I think you should do so. But you may be right and it may just be my system. No EnB, INI settings haven't been changed, Specs:64-bit4GB RamIntel Core i3-2120 CPU 3.30 GHZNvidia GTX 760 Ti
Amyr
I already told you that exteriors are much more demanding on your system compared to interiors, what more explanation do you need? You make it sound like a problem but it really isn't. This is just how it is, most people play the game like this. Including myself. Plus, you have SFO installed which is a pretty performance heavy mod. It might kinda explain why you can't go above 30FPS outdoors, but honestly even if you uninstall that I don't think you can get to 60FPS. If you're happy with your setup and you don't get bothered by 30FPS, just keep playing, there is no problem.
kickersin
Yeah, it's not an actual cap. Just seems like there's a cap because it never goes above 30. That's the same with my computer as well. I've got a heavily modded game that doesn't seem to go above 30 FPS outside. But if I monitor it, it does actually go above sometimes, so it's not a problem other than outside is more performance demanding.
Shubal
Interiors are small compared to world spaces and FPS is always greater. That is why it is wise to mod exteriors with nothing larger than 1k textures but in interiors you can use 2 or 4k textures without worry.
FiftyTifty
Ya could have vsync enabled. That'd do it. Also, your game could just be heavily modded; with all my NPC additions and multiple followers, the framerate hovers around 32-40. Couldn't hurt to give us your specs. Also, if you find 30 to be unbearable (due to Bethesda's f*#@-witted 64hz bug), cap your framerate to 30 and add "iFPSClamp=30" to Skyrim.ini. Makes the game much smoother. notmyhome
Is it possible to specify a different framecap for interiors in vsync? I've never been in the position to find out since my game rarely reaches 30fps...

I've never been in the position to find out since my game rarely reaches 30fps... If you're getting 60+ fps when in interiors, VSync will function at 60fps. If you're getting between 30-59 in exteriors, VSync will function at 30fps.
