alicks
Okay, so I unpacked a BSA file to make some modifications, but I think it takes up a lot more space unpacked (correct me if I'm wrong). Isn't there some way to repack it? I've been trying to use bsacmd (BSA Commander), and it unpacks BSAs fine, but whenever I try packing it back again it freezes up. Any suggestions? Am I doing it wrong? Is there even a way to repack it? Does it even take up more space (I'm just wondering because after unpacking the BSA, the free space jumped down by 4%, but that may be a coincidence)? Vagrant0
You only need to repack the BSAs if you happen to be adding something to them (not recommended for any reason). Unpacking doesn't actually remove those files from the BSA, it just gets a copy for you to use. The repack option is only if you're wanting to make your own BSA files, and they're only needed if you're sharing particularly large mods. That said, I'm not even sure the repacking process even works correctly yet.
