koudelka919
Hello Guys n Gals I came across a problem. I normally never have V-Sync turned on as it limits fps and is not needed in 90% of games. However, If I have V-Sync turned off in Oblivion I get a weird screen wave effect. It looks like constant waves or lines running over the screen from bottom to top. Its very noticeable and really irritating. But, If I turn V-Sync on it goes away, and it plays fine. But also, once I turn V-Sync on I get a bit of Mouse Lag. Its not too bad, but its still irritating. Has anyone come across this problem themselves? And know how to fix it? Any help is appreciated! Thank you! Dragunover
You're using a CRT, right? What's your maximum refresh rate, and what resolution are you running at?
koudelka919
Running an LCD @ 1920 x 1200 I didnt post my spec's because i've heard that if you enable v-sync it automatically turns on triple buffering which can slow down less capable systems, which ultimately results in mouse lag. Mine is definitely up to the task. And there's no FPS slowdown for me in-game with v-sync on, but my mouse is still less responsive. It's pin-point accurate with v-sync off.
