talibanek
I'm sorry if this has been covered before, I searched but couldn't find anything. I just picked up Oblivion a couple of days ago and seeing as FCOM is so highly recommended, I decided to skip on the vanilla experience. Several hours into the game all seemed fine, I just got to Skingrad and began a quest, when walking through the streets i came upon several dead NPCs. I realize that faction violence is a feature of the mod, but I googled the names of the NPCs and saw that one of them is a trainer and another has a minor interaction during one quest. This has me worried that the game might become screwed by the NPCs killing each other. Could someone with experience playing FCOM please clarify if that is a risk and if there are any fixes if that is indeed a problem ? I'm unwilling to put any more time into playing the game if i run the risk of having to start over with vanilla.
kaihodgson
All quest related npc's are marked as essential and cannot be killed, worst that could happen is that a merchant was killed, but with FCOM most of the good stuff is hidden in dungeons anyway so I dont see you having too much of a problem
talibanek
That's reassuring. Thanks for clearing that up.
schmeller
Yep. WIth most of the overhauls, YOU are more like a merchant than the standard merchants themselves: You only see them when you have something to sell, not buy. Anyways, from my experience with FCOM, i have yet to see any of the new weapons appear in the vendor lists. kinda disappointing but ah well
