rileyrose
I know where to locate the face.erf for the Stone Prisoner DLC but it's not letting me open it with the toolset. Is this a common problem? Is there a way to open the face.erf file? Thanks!
DarkeWolf
a lot of the files in the DLC's are encrypted to prevent access to them :( (Gee..thanks EAgames!)so... unless you can somehow acquire the uid and key... (which bioware doesnt give out).... or can break it.... then I'm afraid that you're stuck :(
rileyrose
Thanks for answering my Q. DarkeWolf
Yeah, it does. I'm sorry that I had to give you bad news on this. The DAA expansion files are unlocked. But a lot of the DLC files aren't. Dunt really know WHAT EAgames was thinking when they made Bioware do this. However, from what I have heard from a friend of mine, the encryption isnt actually very... well... if they'd wanted to they coulda used a lot better encryption for it. However, actually breaking encryption falls into a realm that isnt really my field of knowledge. And its not cheap either.ANYway, yeah... sorry that you had an issue that we couldnt sort out for you :(
Thandal
@rileyrose; What are you trying to do? If it's just replacing a particular face in-game with a custom one, that can be done with the override folder. You just have to know the exact filename for the one in question. I've been using a custom Leli facemorph whle playing LS with no problem. If, on the other hand, you want to extract a particular one, that's a whole different effort...
