Starsickle
I'm having this problem. I made this mod of about 18 CM partners, and I found that if you start a romance with them, unfortunately every time I load my game, the romance ends. :( I've tried just ending the partnership, the romance, and starting it up, but that doesn't work. I've tried with while having a companion, then starting a romance. The same thing happens. What I have found is that if you start just a companion, or just a romance, the one you strted works fine, but they do not work well together. I'm not sure if there's a way to change to scripting between both to prevent the romance from ending by accident, but if so, lemme know and I'll fix it or post up a fixed esp! Starsickle
Well Well Well! I managed to fix it myself! The problem, I think, lays in a single dialogue topic and the romance mod's scripts checking to see if it should terminate the relationship.I think it was because the script for the romance mod checks if she is a companion or not, and based on that, may dump you if it doesn't work. It's odd, but it was a guess because the mod is in french, making it difficult to trace and see where these checks are being made at a glance. At first I gave up, and since I liked romance better for love, decided that giving it some basic functionality would be a good idea.So what I wanted to do at first was like "okay, can I at least make a mod that enables companion share?"turns out "Set companion to 1" enables this menu on an npc when used in a dialogue option. So, I conjectured that this would also solve my problem with CMpartners losing my romance, even if they were on the same person. After a bit of basic testing. It worked. I am surprised. So, what you do is this: 1. open the Romance Follower mod.2. go to the dialogue screen and go to Romantic Follower and click the option that orders the NPC to follow, and add "Set companion to 1" 3. Save. I loaded a game with the altered mod - approached my lady target, a CM partner you may be seeing soon. I started a romance, got her to follow me, and saved. The menu popped up just fine. Good. I loaded. I told her to stay put and saved. Saved and loaded. Good. I loaded, then I started a conversation and saved and loaded.Good! I then started a relationship and did the same thing. Still good. After that, I got her to follow me and my adventures. Saved and loaded. Still good. I made her my partner. Saved and loaded. Still good. So, I solved it - I haven't tested every possibility, but I have to say I solved this quite well by just adding one line. The only problem would be that, if you terminated the relationship, the companion share thing might still be there, but I think the Romance script might solved that. itself. I haven't tried. So, I'd like to post this, but I'll have to somehow get in touch with the folks who made it, although they are probably long gone,. if anyone has any ideas for Romance followers and implementing functionality into them, post up, although I think that if both mods now work fine, I think we're already done!
