RetroNutcase
I've had some random crashes in combat now and they're getting a bit tiresome. I have applied the "multithread CPU fix" mentioned in several areas (adding those two lines to the INI file), but I still get "Fallout 3 has stopped working" errors. My specs are... I've applied FOIP patches where needed, so I'm not entirely sure where my problem lies. UPDATE: Think it's weather related, the crash triggers at a certain point and time after my quicksave, and messing with the Enhanced Weather Mod via the ingame tools for it (IE, testing the weather) suddenly made the problem go away. Not entirely sure why. Unfortunately, I've run into that dreaded "Radioactive Rain" glitch people mentioned, where even if you have the radioactive rain off, it STILL radiates you. ultskeletor
I don't know these have anything to do with your crashes, but I can see a couple of problems. Weather ESPs (it looks like Realistic Interior Lighting, Fellout, and Enhanced Weather, in your case) go at the bottom of your load order, but before your merged patch. I include Realistic Interior Lighting as a weather mod; the readme for that one instructs you to put it at the end anyway. When using FWE, at least, you'll run into a couple of problems with a few cells (most notably the Fort Independence and Citadel ones) where Realistic Interior Lighting has overridden the ownership settings applied by FWE. Those are easy to fix with a patch of your own, if you like. Also, you shouldn't use MMM's optional plugins (Hunting & Looting, and such) with FWE, since the FWE Control Panel allows you to set those from within the game. I think you still need the DLC ones. 123rune20
I think ultskeletor is right, but I remember running into problems with DarniFiedUI, it would crash my game before the main menu. But it's updated now so that works...
RetroNutcase
Made some adjustments and added a couple new mods FWE recommended (Wasteland Whisperer and RobCo Certified) but still have random crashes at times. durbin
Ok I know some people may not recommend this but I have decreased my crashes to a very minimum. I create a merge patch in FO3Edit than I create a Bash Patch with Gary Bash. Than I do a FO3 Master Update(very important to keep from crashing alot). Than place your merge patch at the bottom than your bash patch after it in the load order. Links if you dont have any.FO3edit(FO3Masterupdate) http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=637Gary Bash http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11336 Another link that may help http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10193 I run all these mods except EVE with Fook2 and have no problems at all with any of them now and maybe crash once an hour or none at all. rickerhk
I had to remove Enhanced Weather - Weather Sounds in Interiors.esp because the game would crash if there was thunder at the same time explosions and gunshots were going off. Also - and this is probably performance related to my PC - the more things I disabled within MMM, the more stable my game would become.
