braidedsin
I'm trying to create a skin that resembles the main character from the new Deus Ex game but I'm having trouble - Do I load Breezes mod with mine when I create a race or simply just set the texture to the proper handling and load it up with breezes activated And/or I'm having a hell of a time getting my textures to show. I finally found out how to properly wrap the texture around the arms in Breezes but ingame it looks pitch black. The texture is This but whatever I do to it just ends up black. I've added tattoo vectors to skins before (in oblivion) and that was a snap but this is really difficult lol
satanslilhelper
Hiya, I've made a few custom races with tattoo'd skin, for Type 3. Same principal here I assume. You shouldn't need to load Breezes mod in the GECK, if you make mesh and textures folders for your race and place the meshes from breezes and your compiled textures in them, and then point the geck at those folders, you should be good to go. Are you using that nanosuit texture over the whole of the body or just in parts (knowing nothing about Deus Ex)? Is it just that it is too dark? If that's the case, try upping the contrast in photoshop. I'll knock a quick texture together and let you know what results I get! If I've misunderstood what you're asking, or if I can help in any way, just PM me.Hugs & Kisses,Elouise Edit:First rough up - http://www.fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/supporters/image.php?id=74Is that kinda thing what you meant? braidedsin
ah damn! I can't see it, I'm not a supporter >.< I was putting the texture just over the arms and hands, to make them look bionic sort of. I think it is because it's too dark but when I first tried it the hexagons were quite large and well defined (seemingly) and it came out pure black. The larger I made the texture, and shrunk it to fit, the more of it I could see. I'll try to really up the contrast--- Originally I had used one of AlexScorpion's textures from his Sneaking Gear and it looked nice in paint.net but came out completely black >.< Will update with anything new It needs to be extremely brightened, doesn't look that light ingame. Getting closer to the end result although I can't find where breeze's hands are. In the dds there's two bodies, one's used and the other isn't. In the one that's used I can only find the feet. It seems you've gotten further than I have already though -http://www.fallout3n...ge.php?id=17033The male looks black in the pic but you can see the hexagonal pattern in game. And a lot of body textures have seperate hand textures, so that probably solves that. braidedsin
lol yeah I finally found the hand files. You wrapped it perfectly on them both! And it really shows on the girl. Could you send me the .dds so I could try working on that? (the male) I'm having better results brightening the pictures before I apply them the only thing is I'm unsure of the area I'm working with because I don't know exactly where the mesh ends and the ... excess? starts. I managed to get Adam Jensen's octagon thingy on the left side of the forehead set decently, for a noob :) Maybe it all can be released after ^.^ -and you were right about pointing geck in the right direction, I made a 'cybernetic' race and ingame it loads the exact files I want it to Edit- This is what I've come up with so far http://www.fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=17035
