Question About an Outfitter and Floating

Hello all. I just started playing FO3 again and I'm now using mods and such to make it more of a new experience. I have two questions.

First,

I couldn't find it through searching but is there any kind of outfitter mod for FO3? Like a mod that lets you save equipment that your wearing to an outfit/button. So you can quickly change outfits with the push of a button? ie. going from your adventuring combat outfit to your barting/speech outfit.

also

I'm using all the great mods people have made. Some of these mods, mainly the lighting ones, would be great If I knew how to make objects I add to the game float. I've seen people talk about floating objects but I must be missing something.

For instance,

I take out a light orb, grab it, hold it in the air and open console. Type tcl and then let go of the orb. After that I open console and left click on the orb and type Setpos x. I thought that was all I had to do from what I've read but when I type Setpos x I get a message saying something like "missing parameter float".

Anyone that can give me a idiots guide to making objects float, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

For the first question: You can use item hotkeys on outfits. In the pipboy, hold a number key and click the item you want to link to that number. Now you can equip/unequip/use that item by pressing the number.

For the second one: A float is a type of number. Basically it's a number that allows decimals.

There is a mod called QuickClothes which lets you assign sets of whatever you are wearing to a Key.

It does 9 different set allocations which don’t overwrite the default game ones.

You just hold down ‘B’ and press 1 to 9

ya thanks for the outfitter.

As for the floating. I don't really understand that link. It seems like programing language.

I just want to know how to make an object in game float in the air basically. Like a light orb I pick up and put on the ceiling. I would like to be able to set it in place. If anyone knows how to do this please help. I thought it had something to do with the console command Setpos.

THank you

That's the point, it has nothing to do with floating, "Missing parameter Float" means that a number is missing.

SetPos is used by writing for example "SetPos Z 1000", which will put the selected item at position 1000 on the Z axis (up and down). If you don't write the number, which is of the type "float", you will see the error you're getting.
