Chiramu
I was just wondering how many of you went around the world without a full party. Is it much harder to only have one or two people in the party?I just wonder because I am thinking of playing a game like this. What are you thoughts? :)

What are you thoughts? :)Totally possible (verrrrrry slowly, unless you über-buff your PC and/or set the difficulty to "Easy", at least through the early stages.) But doing so misses the main point (for me) of playing DA. You only get the Party Banter and other NPC interactions if you have those other characters around you. The best side-quests (again, IMO) are the NPCs' personal ones. I'm on my seventh (or is it eighth?) playthrough, and I am still hearing new dialogue because I've got new combinations of folk around me than I had previously. Anyway, I get bored too easily playing a straight-on dungeon crawl... But part of the beauty of DA is its flexibility. Play it the way YOU like!

What are you thoughts? :) I solo most areas on nightmare+ with slink's random age doubling my enemy count. I do buff (means cheat) my character up a few notches though. By the same token, there are areas that I won't take my uber PC into without Alistair or one of the mages close by (damned emissaries) so I have them along and put them on halt while the PC takes care of business. There is one area where you absolutely need to have four in your party as it cannot be done otherwise (Urn of Sacred Ashes puzzle bridge.) Anytime I am in a non-combat area I have a full party and will often traverse the banter trigger spots multiple times before leaving just to catch the banter up. Same goes for being on the road as both Leliana and Wynne's personal quests begin with a road encounter. On my last playthrough, the party had 3246 kills of which 2959 were killed by the PC (I was a little peeved that I didn't break 3000.)

"Missed it by thaaaaaaaaaat much!" :P I'd be interested in learning what a truly high-score for an UN-modded PC might be. (Hmmmm, sounds like a new Topic...) (Plus having the essential numbers or capabilities along for those few absolute show-stoppers without.) Great tip, RB, THANKS!
Chiramu
Ok thanks for the responses guys :). I would like to try it, what class did you play solo through Rusty?
RustyBlade
Ok thanks for the responses guys :). I would like to try it, what class did you play solo through Rusty? Rogue but he casts a few spells too via the console and runscript addtalent #. Storm of the Century and Paralysis Explosion for long range culling, Pinpoint Avalanche for dealing with "ooops where did that ogre come from," Mana Clash for the emissaries and an admitted overuse of Hand of Winter just because it's so much fun to watch :whistling:

Kelthal
Um, actually, I played most of the game on solo on nightmare. It isn´t really that hard, it´s just slower. Especially from the start. But I killed the dragon from the Urn quest without any problems and other bosses as well. I used a rogue, not sure if I could do the same thing with a mage or a warrior :-) Also, you don´t need to have 4-men party for the Urn quest (the Gauntlet). If you have less than four people in your group, you will gain control of 1 to 3 Ash Spirits ( I believe they were called so, I played czech version of the game). Now I'm wondering if there's a way to get the Dragon to appear in the Throne Room without a full Party... ? Thanks, Kelthal!
