Adding your own music to the radio

Is there a way to add my own music to listen to while playing. Say like through creating a new radio station or something? I figure it's possible through GECK but I don't wana mess around with it seeing as I'm pretty new to mods and modding.

There are tools available that will allow you to do exactly that.

Take a look at this link...I think this may be what you are looking for.

I've tried them both (well, the non FOSE RACE), they're about the same thing. The topics are set up a little differently - but for the most part - they're pretty much the same.

RACE has:

Topic01:

- Track01

...

- Track30

Where IPip has:

Topic01:

- Track01

...

- Track10

Topic02:

- Track11

...

- Track20

Topic03:

- Track21

...

- Track30

So IPip divides them up a bit more, but the end result should be about the same. The "lag" you mentioned is probably caused by the file size and/or the quality. If it has to load a 10min CD+ quality song, it's going to take some time to load.

Isee. thanks for the help

[Edit]: I was recommended this method on another forum, it sounds more complicated (I don't know much about what i'm doing lol) than using RACE or IPip, but is it a better method?

Method: -Convert your files to a constant bitrate, but keep them in mp3 format

-Open fallout - sound.BSA with the FOMM BSA manager thing.

-Extract everything.

-Find the radio folder.

-Rename your sound files to the one in the radio directory and replace them.

-Open up bsa creator , select your folder and compress and put it in the fallout 3/data directory. but remember to back up your original fallout - sound.BSA.

-After you place your new fallout - sound.BSA in the data directory when you open up the game three dog will play your music instead of the original game music
