If you have the space? I have a solution, it requires thought. persistence, and good attitude.

you might need to change some things, habits, and the way you mod the game.

So, it goes as this: once it ran fine, now, it does not. so then what was installed into the game? that could have change any of this?

From above, I can assume nothing. just some how stopped faster pacing "frames per second" or it quit the smoother operating condition the game had at one time.

installed and un-installed the game a few times by now and still the same results....there for...it's not the game, but rather something the game uses.......there are a tone of files the game may be using or there may be something added now that was not there before that is targeting the game outright.

networking data, a files possibly installed that will not get "Uninstalled if the game is even removed. Changes made to the system in an effort to over come some obstacle?

you didn't do this but in a way did.

one such "example " is the mod patch UUf3p...it installs as an executable and also installed settings that are permanent to the system.

look into the windows directory and the system32 directory ,locate and eradicate all instances of that installed patch works. remove any files seen i the program menus, you will in fact find a listing for a mouse driver "FIX".

this is way too far for Fo3. it's not mandatory either. The data is not from the game install but can mess it up.

Ok....get an iso imager program. imageburn, and install it. then install iso magic's DVD runner.

http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-magicdisc-overview.htm?=mdisc_hlp106

chose the correct version for your system.

install only the game...then contact me and I'll give you the rest of the required xlive data, so that game will run with out question.

smooth as silk. this data goes into the root of the fresh game installed prior to init of the game. : nut's I gotta go, I'll be back later on.....I have to go back to work.

what you see here is a professional layout for fallout 3's data base raw and undamaged install.

If you follow through with this ,you may find any saved game may in fact run...if there were no DLC's content involved?

....DLC content is a totally separate operation and that requires a separate thoughts to control Just exactly what data is used.

This is so dam simple it isn't funny. but, this install was done on a blank fresh system, main system drivers for the graphics card installed, and isolated from the main system.

there is an old saying, don't keep all your eggs in one basket.....so don' keep your gaming profile on the main system. you isolate your PC from outside interferences.

Profiling gives you much more accuracy for data control. Nothing is fool proof so don't take it as so. You can screw this up.

The files: in my forum signature are listed in bright green are the access points to grab the latest and greatest xLive data.

Download and install all of that "BEFORE" you install any games. These files, listed in green are what it is thegame needs to Combat the arguments over the usage of that display Overlay and Windows !, All of them are required for windows 7, 8, 8.1, developers editions of any Breed. windows 10 which is a Hybrid of 8.

My advice: don't be fooled into believing the source. YOU check things out FOR your self and see if I am right or not.

Why? cuz every person on this planet does things "differently", there is No guarantee for any one things will work as planned, but you now have a pattern to go by.

This is the biggest bug fix you can find anywhere.

Now......for me....this set up was burnt to a ISO image, and it is loaded as an iso image which can not be overwritten by any one or any thing. ...IN the process of using things in this way, YOU shall now be informed of all the sneaky, underhanded things that want access to your files....for which there is no reason to do so.

cs....scripts can be Re-written to compensate data targets, and directory deposits. there is no reason data needs to be placed into that game. It's virtual.

If you point fomm to this "sio image" it will flat tell you it neds to have write access to it, this is due to how it was designed, But, we can work around all that.

If you use mo "Mod Organizer" , and load Fomm through it, it still tells you it needs access rights, but will in fact "load", how ever, the data, or assortments will be in MO's directory, a virtual directory, so that means you need to get smarter and learn scripting and fix Fomms targets to is writes "else where" instead of the game folder.

Play with the arrangement ,get used to it, if you screw it up? close log off , and log back on to the main admin profile and set up another account.

DO not delete files any more, keep even bugged up ones...one's you thing got messed up but may in fact not be messed up, trust no one. You keep your head on strieght and do these things, and learn...you will find out just how things work.

Nothing beats the feeling or the sight of this old game breaking all the rules !...Nothing !

you can't Buy that. it comes from testing and sniffing out the rats....including two legged ones. and no moles...

Kitty.

in fire fox browser? maybe, not sure if the site will allow it, at the top if you have menus turned on, you click (file then save as" and it will copy this Entire page as is to your documents folder, or use adobe reader to print out a PDF of this page. this cuts down clutter and makes things sweet and easy to grab.

Don't know about any other browsers?

Google's going to be pulling applications plugins off the market in 2 months I understand, how it effects these applications, we shall we. we will Endure and over come.

On topic: game speed, "Frames per second" this attribute is effected directly by the systems desktop resorption settings.

The game wants to always set it's self up at 800x600, but the fastest and best oval all standard for best game performances is 1024x 768

that was the standard in 2008 and the PC equipments capabilities then. this is built into the game technology and you can't get away from it.

So, most of the time like every one else I say screw it and I set up my desktop the way I want it. Ultra baby, supper high rezzzzzzz !

but heh, the game just does not want to cooperate. yeah. ok so now we do what we must do.

we use the settings in the games launcher to "analyze it", what does that launcher tell you it can see? you can not forget the age of the software and the new machine it's installation or the fact the software is running abridged, fake dos. NTFS formatted drives and things all foreign to it.

it's a lot to consider ,and most just ignore all of this: the game...it does not ignore it, it can't, so you can't, cuz when you do, you come and see me. nut's the crazy cat lady gonna have my hide !

naw, just gonna chew on it a bit. he he. retracting the claws, we can set the game up for an optimized settings that will allow the average gamer to use in comfort and style, this is regardless of system or hardware you might own.

the basics you have now as I just gave them out.

now the game it's self will fight you, IF the launcher when you look at it's task windows and drop downs, if every thing is working as it should be, it should show all things about the hardware you have..and it should show the pile settings too, wide screen if you have a TV set as a monitor......just keep in mind thought, the data and controls are very very old in the games engine for max pixel settings ,ahw...? 2009 vintage? 8 years later wi have what the game would most likely choke on.

we find fixes for that. But that launcher shows whats required or shows what's NOT showing up and should be. So, if there is going to be a before hand bug, that's the first sign you will encounter.

1024x768 is the best overall setting. in game speed will flow like a river of water.....water.....water is the root of the games speed settings, all data is from water.....can be called the GOD water syndrome....LOL.....water water every where and not a drop to drink in sight.

settings for the water can effect the speed of draw ,and the direction control of rendering in the game world. the place to see this is the wasteland puddle just outside vault 101 entrance. you tinker only on a profile that is not what your going to be using for gaming. you create a desperate profile always for dev of modding things, tests and things. you keep your solid game out of the line of fire.

Mo has a configuration, it's a lot bigger than FO3Config. in there, if you want to see what water does to the game ,this is where and how you access custom settings that are not permanent.

modual plugins can also edit games speed and other things, but basic settings can override plugins.

as the setting decreases from large to small the speed of the game increases.

as the games resolution is increased the game starts to bog down due to overloading the GPU.

ok so how is it I am able to make cool screen shots and still have a good game?

texture packs are made to do all this work for us.....some how. this seems to get blocked out in peoples minds.

every one that has a low end machine ...suffers. Every one that has a high powered machine slaughters the lower end guy's in a big way.

it's intimidating. well you can switch the accords and show them how in another way. There is NO law written that says you MUST run these things MAXED out !

dumb. the game say's ah ,hey dummy, I can't do all that..........so we shove it down it's throat and it say CTD " see ya !" frezzzzzzzzz

well ok, so find the in between place the sweet spot your machine will cooperate and behave ...as you said you had done already.

keep the theme of "high rez" restricted to the desktop or the monitors ability's and not the game. the texture packs will take care of high rez stuff, the lower the settings you have ,the more junk you can punish that machine with, not the other way around.

all shots Tashkent to date are 1024 x 768 desktop and game settings a complete match....you will find that I have posted in my nexus profile, some shots are attributed , most are not. some shots I made in this game look Too real and I have had arguments over it with friends so those I have not posted. PC's are limited, they are not using cameras chips .if they were? oh man, what a world we would have.

smoother sailing means a happy in between settings every thing likes. NOW, you cna add tweaks and things, now you can push that Envelope. you just need to keep things set so it's not out of reach of the game. have fun and Enjoy old time games.

Off to see crysis 3... I have made my self a new BOW, explosive encounters about to take place.
