Every time I use the ranger skills and spawn a new creature, as soon as I speak to someone with a cutscene the dead come back to life and I can repeat the process until the sheer number of creatures crashes the game. It never did this before 1.04, my thinking is it is something, perhaps the patch and another mod which I have used with 1.03 and had no problems. Whatever it is is also causing all specialization abilities to be available even when the spec is not chosen and available to the player. That is how I first noticed it (in my last game), I suddenly had access to ranger skills after the patch so I said why not and started spawning. The wolf pack was pretty cool until they turned into blight wolves and the bears always seemed to have their backsides in my face. It has continued into this game. The only mods I have added in the last 10 days are slink's random age and a few weapons mods and while it is possible slink's affects this I am at a loss to see how as it only adds to the enemy. The spawned creatures will eventually go away but it takes a cinematic (as opposed to a cutscene) to do it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Now that is weird, the patch 1.04 is supposed to "fix" some bugs in the game, but I've never experienced any bugs and I have patch 1.03 so I didn't update. It's probably the fact that patch 1.04 fixes bugs in the game and some of those "fixes" might conflict with a mod of yours, causing unnatural spawning. have you tried deactivating some of your mods and reloading before your spawns? I thought due to dog being with me when he should have been with Duncan that it might be the extra dog slot but deactivating that had no effect. There are worse bugs to have to be sure and it is not really that bothersome, I just wish I knew what it was that was doing it and/or which files could be altered to make it happen. Grimmdaur Posted August 20, 2010 Share Posted August 20, 2010 I can't really tell you what mod is causing conflict, but I would deactivate any mod regarding "dog","party" and perhaps slink's random age too. Then see if that helps, if it doesn't, then I wouldn't really suggest this but; you could delete the entire override folder, reinstall all the mods you WANT to have and then reload. And if that does not help, well then that is one stubborn bug. You could ask the authors if their mods work with patch 1.04. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RustyBlade Posted August 20, 2010 Author Share Posted August 20, 2010 I can't see the Advanced Party mod having this effect, all it does is prevent the game from assigning their talents, skills, attributes and specializations and the dog mods only affect the dog (uninstalling the dog whistle did prevent dog from spawning at Ostagar.) Slink's is a possibility and if it is the culprit I will choose to live with the zoo. As far as the override goes, I won't argue that it could use a bit of housekeeping but many of the dazips I have install files to the override and careless deletion would cause more problems than it solves not to mention having to reconstruct my chargenmorph.xml and associated files. I'm really hoping someone else will develop this problem and then compare mod lists as it would provide a way to narrow down the possibilities rather than the painstaking process of trial and error. As for asking the authors if their mods work with 1.04, everything works it is just one thing working a bit more than expected. I'm now considering running across the bridge in the Dead Trenches with a hundred or so blight wolves.
